Fight Song

The original Pepperdine Fight Song was written in 1946 by Pepperdine alumnus Chuck Baber. After decades without a fight song, Pepperdine University decided to have a contest for someone to write a new fight song. In 1979, Marc McGee, who worked for Pepperdine Student Recruitment and Admissions at the time, won the contest by writing "Fight for Pepperdine." With the help of Eric Iverson, who worked in the Music Department and helped arrange the song, Pepperdine had a new fight song. In 2008, UCLA's Jay Dillon rearranged "Fight for Pepperdine" into it's current form.

Fight For Pepperdine

We're gonna fight! Fight! Fight!
For Pepperdine
We're gonna win for the
Orange and the Blue
The mountains and the sea
inspire victory
In the waves of Malibu!
We're gonna fight! Fight! Fight!
For Pepperdine
And show our pride now
for everyone to see
Come on and raise your voice
to show the world your choice
And cheer our team to victory-
VICTORY!

Roll - on - you - Waves
Roll - on - you - Waves
Fight! Fight! Fight!

We're gonna fight! Fight! Fight!
For Pepperdine
We're gonna win for the
Orange and the Blue
The mountains and the sea
inspire victory
In the waves of Malibu!
We're gonna fight! Fight! Fight!
For Pepperdine
And show our pride
for everyone to see
Come on and raise your voice
to show the world your choice
And cheer our team to victory-
VICTORY!

Alma Mater

All Hail to Thee

All hail to thee George Pepperdine, we sing thy praise.
To laud thy spirit victorious brings honor high.
Our alma mater thy name and virtuous fine, our voices raise.
Thy colors so glorious wave through the sky.
Pepperdine, all hail! All hail! All hail!
