MALIBU, Calif. – Four members of the Pepperdine women’s volleyball team earned West Coast Conference postseason honors today, with Jazmine Orozco and Kellie Woolever leading the way as All-WCC first team selections.

Additionally, Victoria Adelhelm (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif./Santa Fe Christian HS) grabbed a spot on the honorable mention squad and Taylor Racich (Santa Barbara, Calif./Dos Pueblos HS) was voted to the WCC All-Freshman team.

Orozco (Lakewood, Calif./Lakewood HS), a two-time WCC Player of the Week and the league’s October Player of the Month, earned one of 12 spots on the first team. The junior outside hitter paced the Waves and ranked third in the league with a 3.84 kills/set average.

She also ranked in the top-three on the team in service aces (28) and digs (2.71 d/s).

Along with Orozco, Woolever also picked up a WCC Player of the Week award to bring Pepperdine’s count in 2012 to three. BYU and San Diego also both earned three Player of the Week nods this season to lead the league.

Adelhelm was placed on the All-WCC honorable mention team for the third time in her career. In 2012, the senior middle blocker registered a hitting percentage of .381 (256 kills-54 error-530 attempts) which ranked third in the WCC and 22nd overall in the NCAA.
