08/16/2012 2012 Women's Volleyball Season OutlookPepperdine looks to defend its West Coast Conference title in 2012 with eight returning players and five newcomers. 11/30/2011 Members of Pepperdine Staff Don Moustaches in Support of MovemberJensen and several other staff members do their part to raise awareness and funds for men's health during the month of November. Jensen is involved in several aspects of Pepperdine volleyball, including practice planning, conditioning, recruiting and scouting. During his tenure in Malibu, which began with the 1999 season, the program has compiled an overall record of 290-121 (.706), including a 156-44 (.780) West Coast Conference mark. In the 14 seasons since Jensen's arrival, Pepperdine has earned 11 NCAA Tournament berths, advanced to the NCAA Regional Semifinals four times, the Regional Finals twice and finished top-10 in the AVCA rankings on five occasions. Prior to Pepperdine, Jensen served as the head coach for the varsity and junior varsity boys' volleyball teams at Numerous athletes under Jensen went on to take part in collegiate volleyball, most notably Dylan Herrick, who played outside hitter at Pacific. In addition to his volleyball coaching duties at Jensen serves as owner/director/head coach of the Beverly Hills-based Sports Shack Volleyball Club, a position he has held since 1993. The goal of the club is to develop a comprehensive program committed to providing instructional supervision in a disciplined environment. Sport Shack Volleyball Club is one of the largest in Jensen has coached numerous Sports Shack Volleyball Club teams to top-five showings at national tournaments, including a first-place finish at the 1999 Davis Volleyball Festival in the 16-Under division. His 18-Under division squad claimed its first title at the Reno Volleyball Festival in 2005 with a perfect 28-0 record and posted a runner-up finish at the 2000 Davis Volleyball Festival and a third-place showing in 2001. His 18-1 team captured the gold medal in back-to-back seasons in 2010 and 2011 at the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships - a tournament considered to be the one of the toughest and most prestigious in the club circuit. During Jensen's 20 years heading one of the nation's premier club volleyball programs, he has helped develop and guide young women to successful collegiate careers at all levels of NCAA competition. Several former members of Sport Shack have gone on to win national titles and All-American accolades at many of the nation's top collegiate programs. A native of Pacific Palisades, Jensen graduated from Campbell Hall High in 1987 where he was a three-sport athlete, competing in basketball, football and volleyball. Jensen was selected Campbell Hall High's Student-Athlete of the Year in 1986 and 1987. A first team All-Delphic League pick in both football and volleyball, Jensen helped Campbell Hall advance to the CIF Southern Section playoffs in volleyball during the 1986 and 1987 seasons.
