No. 23 Women's Tennis Defeats San Diego 5-2 on Saturday

Malibu, Calif. - The No. 23 Pepperdine women's tennis team knocked out San Diego 5-2 on Saturday at USD's West Tennis Courts. The Toreros, who are currently ranked 63rd in the nation, are now 3-3 on the season while Pepperdine remains undefeated at 8-0.

In doubles action, Pepperdine swept the Toreros at all three spots. The duo of Emma Murphy and Lauren Perl lost 8-6 to No. 44 Sylvia Kosakowski and Merve Asimgil defeated Emma Murphy and Lauren Perl 8-6, while No. 20 Eva Dickes and Bianca Dulgheru beat Jenny Brown and Helen Lindstrand 8-7. Sophia Vogt and Brittany Reitz. Natalie Braverman and Jelena Jovic also captured a victory at the No. 3 position defeating Brittany Reitz and Sophia Vogt 8-3.

Kosakowski, Dickes, Asimgil and Jovic all picked up wins for the Waves in singles.

The Waves continue action on the road when they face No. 4 USC on Wednesday, March 1 at 1:30.
