No. 19 Women's Tennis Gets Second Try at USC; Hosts Trojans on Friday

Waves Face USC, Again
The No. 19 Pepperdine women's tennis team will try its luck again against USC as it hosts the eighth-ranked Trojans on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center. The two Southern California schools met in Los Angeles on Jan. 27 with USC winning the match, 6-1. Pepperdine holds a 5-3 record on the season, while the Trojans are 5-2.
About the Trojans
No. 8 USC posted five consecutive victories before recently falling to top-ranked Stanford and No. 7 California on the road, losing both matches, 5-2. Two Trojans, Lindsey Nelson and Sarah Fansler, are ranked in the Top 20, while two doubles teams are ranked in the Top 25.
Pepperdine got back to its winning ways last week as it easily defeated LMU, 6-1 in Los Angeles.
Pepperdine will open a three-game road trip on Feb. 27 at San Diego State after which the Waves will travel north to take on Stanford and Cal.
