No. 28 Women's Tennis to Host No. 51 Rice on Friday and No. 57 Long Beach State on Saturday

Malibu, Calif. - The No. 28 Pepperdine women's tennis returns home to host No. 51 Rice University on Friday, January 27 at 11:30 a.m. and No. 57 Long Beach State on Saturday, January 28 at 11 a.m. at the Ralphs-Strauss Tennis Center in Malibu, Calif.

The Waves are 2-0 after defeating Cal Poly in their season opener and UC Irvine in their first road match of the season.

The Owls of Rice are 2-0 after dropping Lamar and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Rice senior Blair DiSesa ranked 31st nationally, while sophomore Dominique Karas is ranked at 68th. DiSesa and freshman Alanna Rodgers were ranked 30th nationally in doubles.

The 49ers, who have won back-to-back Big West Conference championships, are 0-1 after losing to No. 5 USC in their season opener.

The Waves' No. 21 doubles team of Bianca Dulgheru and Eva Dickes along with the No. 22 Wave duo of Sylvia Kosakowski and Merve Asimgil are both undefeated on the season.
