Waves honor eight student-athletes who will soon be finishing their swim and dive careers at Pepperdine.
Pepperdine entertains LMU, San Diego and Fresno State on Friday and Saturday at the Raleigh-Runnels Memorial Pool.
Pepperdine starts the season this Friday with the first of eight meets.
The conference championships bring out the best in the Waves, who conclude the 2011-12 season with an eighth place showing at the PCSC Championship.
JUNIOR/2011-12: Competed in all distances of the freestyle ... Season-best freestyle times include 28.94 (50), 1:03.10 (100), 2:28.48 (200), 6:31.05 (500), 13:54.18 (1000) and 22:41.27 (1650) ... Also swam the 50 butterfly in a time of 36.13 and the 100 IM in a time of 1:23.38.
SOPHOMORE/2010-11: Scored points at the PCSC Championships after placing 20th in the 1650 freestyle behind a time of 23:12.58 ... Lowered her personal-best time in the 500 freestyle to 6:27.17 at the Malibu Invitational ... After competing exclusively in the freestyle during her freshman campaign, added the butterfly to her repertoire, racing at both the 50 and 100 distances ... Season-best 50 butterfly time clocked at 32.40 (relay split) at the CLU Relays ... Raced a season-best 50 freestyle at the Malibu Invitational with a relay split time of 27.72 ... Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete.
FRESHMAN/2009-10: Competed in the 50 and 100 freestyle, where she posted season best times of 26:52 and 1:06.01 ... Also swam on Pepperdine's 400 free and 200 medley relays.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Loyola Academy in 2009, where she swam one year on the varsity squad following three years for the junior varsity ... Competed in the 50 and 100 free and on all relays for head coach Dennis Shoquist ... Career best times include a 26.6 with the 200 free relay and a 59.6 with the 400 free relay ...
