Pepperdine will compete at the conference championships Feb. 12-15.

Pepperdine swam four top five times on the day, 13 personal bests and 21 season bests.
JUNIOR/2014-15: Delivered a personal-record 50 freestyle time of 25.93 at the PCSC Championships … Scored a personal-best 400 IM time of 5:20.97 at the league championship meet … Lowered PR in 100 breaststroke at the PCSC Championships, clocking a 1:12.38 … Also lowered career-best mark in the 200 breaststroke at conference (2:44.25) … Set a new PR in the 100 freestyle at the A3 Performance Meet, posting a time of 58.15 … Other season-best flat times include 2:18.03 (200 free), 34.66 (50 breast), 29.85 (50 fly) and 1:07.49 (100 fly).
SOPHOMORE/2013-14: Redshirted as a sophomore after undergoing brain surgery in the fall.
FRESHMAN/2012-13: Mainly competed in the freestyle and breaststroke events for the Waves as a freshman … Swam a personal-best 27.17 in the 50 freestyle at the Arena Classic … At the same meet, also lowered PR time in the 100 freestyle to 59.58 … Clocked a 2:18.13 in the 200 freestyle at the Malibu Invitational … Set a personal record in the 500 freestyle at the Malibu Invitational with a time of 6:16.17 … Clocked a personal-record 50 breaststroke time of 35.93 at the Mustang Invitational … Lowered PR in the 100 breaststroke to 1:18.60 at the Arena Classic … Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete.

PERSONAL: Born in Fargo, North Dakota … Lives in Reno, Nevada … Daughter of Bob Rowe, Lindsay Velianoff and the late Heidi Rowe … Has three younger brothers, Luke, Christopher and Zachary and one younger sister, Danielle … Majoring in nutritional science and aspires to become a medical doctor … Mother Heidi was both a springboard and platform diver at Iowa State … Father Bob competed for Iowa State’s track and field team … Considers her mother, who was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes as a child, her biggest hero “because she had so much to overcome, and she made the absolute best of it” … Chose Pepperdine because of “its amazing academic reputation and the growing swim program on the California coast” … Traveled to Peru during the summer of 2015 with fellow student-athletes to work with Here for Kids International.
