MALIBU, Calif. - Kristine Hilliard and Ally Holtz received West Coast Conference All-Academic first team honors today, while Kristin DeGrandmont garnered honorable mention notice.

This is the first time on the first team for either Hilliard or Holtz. Pepperdine and Santa Clara were the only schools to put two players on the first team. This is DeGrandmont's third time receiving honorable mention. Holtz was honorable mention last season.

To qualify for WCC All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average, have at least sophomore standing and play in at least half of a team's competitions.

Hilliard (North Ogden, Utah/Weber HS), a junior midfielder, was named to CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District second team in both 2012 and 2013. The business administration major has played in 13 games and has made eight starts this season.

Holtz (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou School), a junior forward, is second on the team with six goals and 16 points, and leads the squad with four assists. The pre-business administration major was named the WCC Player of the Week on Oct. 28.

DeGrandmont (Portland, Ore./Jesuit HS), a senior defender, has played in 15 games this season and has made eight starts. She is an accounting major.

Pepperdine closes out the regular season on Saturday (Nov. 9) by visiting rival Loyola Marymount. The Wells Fargo PCH Cup battle begins at 6 p.m.
