Amanda LeCave Earns WCC August Player of the Month

The sophomore scored three goals over four games.

MALIBU, Calif. - Sophomore forward Amanda LeCave was named the West Coast Conference August Player of the Month after scoring three goals in four games for Pepperdine during the month.

LeCave's (Windsor, Calif./Windsor HS)three goals eclipsed her entire scoring total of her freshman year. Two of her goals were game winners for the Waves who went 3-1 in the month of August. The first game winner came in a 2-1 victory over Auburn and the second game winner two days later in a two-goal performance against Pacific.

Through August, the sophomore had six total points to lead the Waves. She currently leads the team and the conference with seven goals scored and has tallied eight points.

LeCave was also named the WCC Player of the Week on September 2 after an impressive four goal performance against Indiana on September 1.

The Waves will be back in action at the Sun Desert Classic in Tempe, Ariz., on Friday, September 7 as they face Arizona at 4:30 p.m. PT.
