Kelsey Baker begins her second season at Pepperdine...One of 11 sophomores on the Waves' roster...A highly decorated high school player from Hawaii...Expected to bring a physical presence to Pepperdine's back line in 2006...Part of a freshman recruiting class that was ranked No. 7 in the West Region and 30th in the country by Soccer Buzz. 2005:Played in eight games during the 2005 season...Took one shot. HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year starter at Punahou in Honolulu, Hawaii...Team captured four straight Interscholastic League of Honolulu (IHL) titles and three consecutive state titles (2002, 2003, 2004)...Served as a tri-captain during senior campaign...Capped a stellar high school career by being named Hawaii's "State Player of the Year" by both the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and the Honolulu Advertiser...Also selected the 2004-05 Gatorade Hawaii Girls "Soccer Player of the Year" and "Most Outstanding Player" at the 2005 Hawaii High School Athletic Association Girls State Soccer Championship...A three-time first team IHL and all-state selection following sophomore through senior campaigns.
