Waves Women's Soccer Looks to Defend WCC Title as They Forge Their Own Path in 2012

Pepperdine opens the 2012 season on Friday against San Diego at Tari Frahm Rokus Field

ODP: Participated as a member of Cal South ODP, winning the National Championship in 2011.

CLUB: Competed for Legends FC from 2010-12 ... Team was the California State Champions from 2010, 2011, 2012.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Esperanza High School, located in Yorba Linda, Calif., in 2012 ... Played four years of varsity soccer for head coach John King ... As a sophomore Baisden was the team's leading goal scorer as she led Esperanza to a league championship, a CIF championship and a state championship ... Also lettered in softball, winning the league championship in 2010.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Marv and Roxanne Baisden ... Father Marv played basketball and baseball at South Dakota State University ... Has two siblings: Bree and Clint ... Undeclared major ... Chose Pepperdine because "It is a beautiful school and the soccer program and staff are amazing."
