Sixty-Three Waves Make WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll

The nine WCC schools put a total of 1,093 student-athletes on the list from the 13 sports that the conference sponsors, which is another new conference record.

PEPPERDINE 2011: Redshirted her true freshman season ... Earned WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll "bronze" honors.

CLUB: Played for So Cal Blues Dodge, which won a national championship in 2010, took third in 2009 and was a finalist in 2008 ... Team won five Surf Cup titles and multiple Blues Cup championships ... The team was the U.S. Youth National League champion in 2009 and 2010 ... Also played with Del Mar Sharks, Rancho Bernardo Soccer Club and Temecula Soccer Club.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Temecula (Calif.) Valley High School in 2011 ... A four-year member of the varsity ... Did not play as a senior, but earned All-Southwestern Conference first team honors as a freshman and sophomore and second team as a junior ... Team won two league titles ... Was a member of the Dean's List all four years.

PERSONAL: Born in San Bernardino, Calif. ... Daughter of Mike and Sheila Assumma ...Her father competed in cross country and track at San Bernardino Valley College and her mother played volleyball at UC Riverside ... Has one brother, Kyle ...
