Waves in the Pros - Women's Golf
Over the last decade and a bit, Pepperdine has had eight golfers earn LPGA Tour cards. Tamie Durdin, Nadina Taylor, Katherine Hull, Lindsey Wright and Danielle Kang each successfully qualified for the LPGA Tour on their first attempt. Carolina Llano, after a year on the Duramed Futures Tour, won her spot in 2008 through qualifying. Misun Cho placed third on the LPGA Futures Tour money list to earn her LPGA Tour card in 2010. Taylore Karle joined this group in 2013 via the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament. Two other players (Eileen Vargas in 2007, Leanne Bowditch in 2010) reached the final stage of LPGA Qualifying.
Head Coach Laurie Gibbs is proud of the success achieved by these former student-athletes on both the LPGA Tour and Symetra Tour. Pepperdine offers perfect weather, a competitive schedule, quality practice facilities and a small-school family environment that benefited these young ladies as they prepared for a professional career at the highest level of women's golf.
