Waves in the Pros - Women's Golf
In the last decade, Pepperdine has had six golfers qualify for the LPGA Tour. Tamie Durdin, Nadina Taylor, Katherine Hull and Lindsey Wright each successfully qualified for the LPGA Tour on their first attempt. Carolina Llano, after a year on the Duramed Futures Tour, won her spot in 2008 through qualifying. Misun Cho placed third on the Duramed Futures Tour money list to earn her LPGA Tour card in 2010. One other player, Eileen Vargas, reached the final stage of LPGA Qualifying in 2007 and has both competed in LPGA events.
Head Coach Laurie Gibbs is proud of the success achieved by these former student-athletes on both the LPGA Tour and Futures Tour. Pepperdine offers perfect weather, a competitive schedule, quality practice facilities and a small-school family environment that benefited these young ladies as they prepared for a professional career at the highest level of women's golf.
