Waves in the Pros - Women's Golf
Over the past two decades, Pepperdine has had nine golfers earn LPGA Tour cards. Tamie Durdin was the first in 2001, and she was followed by Nadina (Taylor) Light and Katherine (Hull) Kirk in 2004, Lindsey Wright in 2005, Carolina Llano in 2008, Misun Cho in 2010, Danielle Kang in 2012, Taylore Karle in 2013 and Grace Na in 2016. Two other players (Eileen Vargas in 2007, Leanne Bowditch in 2010) reached the final stage of LPGA Qualifying.
Head Coach Laurie Gibbs is proud of the success achieved by these former student-athletes on both the LPGA Tour and Symetra Tour. Pepperdine offers perfect weather, a competitive schedule, quality practice facilities and a small-school family environment that benefited these young ladies as they prepared for a professional career at the highest level of women's golf.
