MALIBU, Calif. - Pepperdine senior Grace Na earned the eighth West Coast Conference Player of the Month award of her career and junior Kevin DeHuff captured his first as the Waves swept the league's monthly golf awards for March.

Na (Alameda, Calif./Alameda HS), who is ranked #5 nationally by Golfstat, had two more outstanding performances in March. She won the Anuenue Spring Break Classic and tied for fourth place at the Bruin Wave Invitational.

DeHuff (Coto de Caza, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic HS) had the two best finishes of his Pepperdine career, as he first tied for 11th place at the San Diego Classic and then tied for fourth place at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational.

After the men's golf team finishes up play today at the Redhawk Invitational in Washington, the next event for both teams will be the WCC Championships at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash., on April 14-16.

Na's winning score of an 11-under 205 (70-66-69) in Hawaii was the third-best 54-hole score in program history and she won by eight strokes. It was her sixth individual title, putting her just one behind the Pepperdine record. She also led the Waves to the team title in Hawaii, and to an impressive second-place finish at the Bruin Wave. Pepperdine only ended up behind #1 USC while beating four top-12 ranked teams, including #2 UCLA. The Waves also got a win over top-10 Washington in Hawaii. Na finished better than 21 other top-100 ranked players at the Bruin Wave as she finished with an even-par 216 (73-72-71).

Four of Na's six rounds during March were below part and she averaged 70.17 strokes per round. For the season, she is averaging 71.67 strokes, on pace to break her own single-season school record of 72.17 that she set last year. Na also earned the WCC Player of the Month award in September.

DeHuff averaged 70.50 strokes per round in March as three of his six rounds were below par, and two were at par. He also recorded a career-best 18-hole score with a 4-under 67 in the first round of the ASU Thunderbird Invitational, and his 54-hole score of a 6-under 207 (67-71-69) was also a career best. He had an even-par 216 (70-72-74) in San Diego. In addition, in a dual against Brown University, DeHuff posted a 5&4 match-play win against his opponent. He lowered his season average to 74.30, third best on the team.
