UNLV Spring Invitational Second Round Results in PDF Format
The fourth-ranked Pepperdine women's golf team shot a 14-over 302 and moved up two places in the standings on Tuesday and is in third place after two rounds of the UNLV Spring Invitational being contested at the par-72, 6009-yard Black Mountain Golf & Country Club in Henderson, Nevada.
USC carded a second-round total of 11-over par 299 and leads the tournament with a 36-hole score of 29-over par 605. The Trojans lead Arizona (610) by five shots after the Wildcats shot the low round of the day with a 10-over total of 298.
Pepperdine fired the third-lowest team score and is in third place at 43-over par 619. Host UNLV (621) is fourth while Tennessee and Michigan are tied for fifth at 48-over par 624.
Arizona's Cassandra Kirkland carded the lowest round of the tournament, shooting a 3-under par 69 and is at even-par 144. Kirkland holds a two-shot lead over USC's Caralina Marin (146) and five shots ahead of Pepperdine sophomore Eileen Vargas, who posted a 3-over par 75 and is at 149 heading into Wednesday's final round.
Junior All-American Carolina Llano posted a 1-over 73 and is tied for 12th at 10-over 154.
