Hull, Other Alums Star at ANZ Ladies Masters
AUSTRALIA -- Former Pepperdine All-American Katherine Hull won the ANZ Ladies Masters golf tournament in Australia over the weekend by five strokes, and two other Pepperdine alums finished in the top 10.
Hull fired a 272 (69-67-68-68). She finished five strokes better than former Pepperdine teammate Tamie Durdin, who was at 277 (70-71-66-70). A third alum who also a teammate of the first two, Lindsey Wright, tied for eighth place at 279 (71-70-71-67).
The ANZ Ladies Masters is the biggest women's professional tournament in Australia. All three former Pepperdine All-Americans are from Australia. Their careers overlapped in the 1999-00 season in Malibu.
"I am very proud of the success that Katherine, Tamie and Lindsey have enjoyed as professional golfers playing around the world," Pepperdine Coach Laurie Gibbs said. "They were an important part of the Pepperdine women's golf program becoming a consistent top 10 program."
