Waves Sweep Conference 'Player of the Week' Honors.

MALIBU, Calif. - Junior guard Alex Acker and senior forward Jennifer Lacy were named the West Coast Conference's (WCC) "Player of the Week" for their performances last week.
Lacy recorded back-to-back double-doubles scoring 24 points with 10 rebounds in Pepperdine's 60-47 victory over Cal State Fullerton Friday night and poured in a season-high 26 points with 15 rebounds in the championship game of the Four Points LAX Turkey Shoot-out on Saturday.
For her efforts, the Agoura Hills, Calif., native was selected to the all-tournament team.
Lacy is the first Wave to earn the conference's weekly honor since Sandrika Lee, the week of Feb. 9, 2004.
Acker nearly averaged a double-double with 21.0 points and 9.0 rebounds to go along with 5.0 assists a game. He connected on 44.8 percent of his shots, including 55.6 percent from three-point range. He also converted on 11 of 12 free throw attempts.
Acker scored five of his game-high 25 points in the closing minutes to help the Waves hold off Long Beach State Tuesday night. He also added a team-best nine rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Against No. 17/20 Wisconsin, Acker totaled 17 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in Pepperdine's upset win over the Badgers on Saturday.
