Women's Hoops Mourn Loss of Avid Supporters
MALIBU ÂThe Pepperdine women’s basketball team will wear a black patch on their uniforms for the remainder of the 2007-08 season in memory of two avid supporters of the program, who recently passed away.
On Sunday, Feb. 17, Carol Sheetz, the mother of assistant women’s basketball coach, Shelley Sheetz, lost her courageous battle against lymphoma.
Coach Sheetz has been on leave of absence since Nov. 26, 2007, to care for her mother in Colorado.
