Pepperdine fell to No. 5 Cal in Saturday's match by the score of 8-10, dropping to 9-11 on the year.  The Waves take their 1-4 league record to Stockton on Sunday where they will take on No. 15 Pacific at noon.

Pepperdine jumped out to an early lead scoring four goals in the opening quarter to go up 4-1.  Cal dominated the next two quarters though, outscoring the Waves 6-2 to head into the final quarter of play with a 9-6 lead.

The Waves scored twice in the final period of play to pull within two of the Bears but it was not enough as Pepperdine dropped their fifth straight match and fourth league match of the year.

Freshman Grant Miller lead the way for the Waves, scoring four goals in the match.  Adam Hewko contributed three of his own and Doug Mann also found the back of the net once in Saturday's match.  Goalkeeper Robbie Miller recorded seven saves in the loss.
