Started 21 games for the Waves in 2011, tallying 237 saves and amassing 14 steals ... Had a season high 17 saves in a 7-6 victory over UC Santa Barbara (9/18) ... Saved an excess of 10 shots on 16 occasions ... Was third in the MPSF with 9.71 saves per game ... Made 15 saves, second-best on the year in a close 5-4 overtime loss to UCLA in the MPSF Tournament (11/25) ... Also made 15 saves in a 14-10 victory over UC Davis (9/17) ... In six of the last seven games Valics collected 10 plus stops in each game. 2010/FRESHMAN: All-MPSF Honorable Mention ... Saved in excess of 10 shots on six occasions, including a season-high 15 vs. Stanford ... Saved nine shots vs. Pomona-Pitzer in his first career complete game ... Came through with six stops in Pepperdine's 9-8 win at Long Beach State that helped clinch a postseason berth at the MPSF Championship ... Credited with 13 saves in back-to-back conference games at USC and UCLA ... Totaled 25 stops in 10 quarters of action at the MPSF Championships ... Led all Waves with 54 steals.
