The #2 Pepperdine men's volleyball team was never able to settle into any sort of rhythm on Thursday night versus #3 Stanford and fell 3-0 in the semifinal round of the MPSF Tournament. The Waves had no answer for Brian Cook, who sent down a match-high 17 kills while hitting .667 (17 kill-1 error-24 attempts).
The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its annual list of All-Americans and two members from the Pepperdine men's volleyball team made the cut. Both Matt West and Josh Taylor were singled out as two of the best volleyball players in the country and were both placed on the second team roster.
The #2 Pepperdine men's volleyball team continues its run in the MPSF Tournament, facing #3 Stanford in the semifinals on Thursday, April 24 in Provo, Utah. The Waves are making their first trip to the semifinals since 2009 and are 23-15 all-time at the conference tournament, including last week Saturday's 3-1 win over #7 Long Beach State in the quarterfinals.
