Waves To Compete in Southern California Intercollegiate Tournament
MALIBU, Calif. - The Pepperdine men's tennis team will travel to Los Angeles this week to compete in the 53rd Southern California Intercollegiate Tournament, located at the Los Angeles Tennis Center in Los Angeles, Calif.
"This is our last tournament of the fall and a great test for the guys," said Pepperdine Head Men's Tennis Coach Adam Steinberg. "We have worked so hard and made a lot of changes in the guy's games the last few weeks and hopefully it will pay off. They guys are really excited to play in a very tough event."
Senior Bassam Beidas is seeded No. 2 in the singles main draw. Sophomore Alex Moreno will play in the men's singles qualifying round tomorrow beginning at 11 a.m. Beidas, Finn Tearney, Sebastian Fanselow and Danny Moss will start their competition on Friday in the men's singles main draw at 10 a.m.
Hugh Clarke (Brisbane, Australia) and Tearney along with Fanselow and Moss will begin doubles competition in the main draw on Friday at 2 p.m.
UCLA, USC, San Diego, Loyola Marymount, UC Riverside and Azusa Pacific are among the schools competing in the tournament.
