After a brilliant four-year career at Pepperdine, Germany native Sebastian Fanselow moves over to the sidelines as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2014 season.

CAREER: Three-time ITA All-American in singles ... In four seasons has posted an overall singles record of 118-36 and 78-23 in duals ... Ranks fifth in program history for career wins in singles (dual season only) ... In doubles, has gone 72-48 overall and 44-36 in duals ... A four-time All-WCC singles first team selection ... 2012 and 2013 WCC Player of the Year ... Three-time All-WCC doubles first team selection.

Went 18-1 (.947) in duals with Jenson Turner which ranks as the fourth-best single season winning percentage in the program's recorded history ... The pair was 3-0 when playing #1, 4-1 when playing #2 and 11-0 when playing #3 ... Was a perfect 4-0 in doubles with Turner versus ranked opponents ... The duo finished the season ranked #47 on the Campbell/ITA Doubles Rankings and #5 in the regional rankings ... In singles, reached as high as #14 in the polls and concluded the season at #22 ... Ranked #2 in the singles regional rankings ... Went 12-9 against ranking opponents ... Was 5-5 from the #1 spot in the lineup and 9-3 when playing at #2 ... 2-3 against top-10 ranked opponents ... PEPPERDINE 2009-10: Earned WCC Freshman of the Year honors and made the All-WCC first team in singles ... Ended the season ranked #72 by the ITA in singles ... Posted a 28-8 record overall and 18-6 in duals ... Began at the #4 position but worked his way up to #2, where he went 11-3 ... Had a 7-4 record against nationally ranked opponents, including a three-set win over #12 Ed Corrie of Texas ... Was victorious in his only match at the #1 position against Loyola Marymount ... Won the singles back draw competition at the Southern California Intercollegiates ... Earned the WCC Singles Player of the Month award for March ... In doubles, went 15-15 overall and 9-13 in duals ... Went 7-6 with Alejandro Moreno at the #6 spot ... Placed second in doubles with Daniel Moss at the ITA Wilson Southwest Regionals ... ITA Southwest Region Rookie of the Year.

GERMANY: Graduated from the Kaplan College Preparatory School in 2009 ... Ranked in the top 15 as an U-18 player in Germany and in the top 150 among juniors by the ITF ... Was an U-18 quarterfinalist at the 2008 Eddie Herr International Junior Tennis Championships ... Competed in his only junior grand slam at the Australian Open in 2009.

PERSONAL: Born in Saarlouis, Germany ... Son of Torsten and Marion Fanselow ... Has one brother, Tobias, who played tennis at Old Dominion and now coaches at Longwood University ... Majoring in psychology ... Chose to attend Pepperdine because "it's a great place to study and play tennis."
