Pepperdine In Fifth Place After Two Rounds Of Coca-Cola Tournament of Champions

Led by Michael Putnam's second round 4-under par 68, the Pepperdine men's golf team is in fifth place heading into Tuesday's final round of the Coca-Cola Tournament of Champions being contested at the Holston Hills Country Club in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The Waves shot a 6-under par 282 in Monday's second and have a 36-hole total of 2-under par 574. Putnam is currently tied for sixth in the individual standings with a 5-under par score of 139.
The Swedish National Team is the tournament's team leader with a 13-under par total of 563. Georgia Southern and host Tennessee are tied for second, three shots of the pace at 566. Vanderbilt is in fourth place with a score of 6-under par 570.
Individually, Swedish National Team member Jonas Blixt leads the field with a score of 11-under par 133. Georgia Southern's Aron Price is in second with at 9-under par 135 and is followed by Virginia's Jeremy Luce (136) and James Madison's Jay Woodson and Vanderbilt's Mark Donnell, both at 7-under par 137.
Putnam is tied with Tennessee White's Brandon Skeen for sixth place.
Pepperdine sophomore Chris Elliott is bunched with four other players at 2-under par 142 and tied for 13th.
