Pepperdine Posts Impressive Victory At The Club Glove Intercollegiate

Junior All-American Michael Putnam tied for individual medallist honors with a 1-under par 54-hole score of 215 to lead the Pepperdine men's golf team to an 11-shot victory at The Club Glove Intercollegiate that concluded at Saticoy Country Club in Somis on Tuesday.
The Waves placed first with a tournament-record tying 7-over par 871 to finish ahead of Arizona State, which shot an 882 total. Tulsa finished third after carding a final round even-par score of 288 for a three-round total of 886. Colorado State was fourth and Kansas placed fifth with scores of 893 and 897, respectively.
Putnam tied for individual medallist honors with Tulsa's David Inglis and was declared the tournament winner based on his birdie on his final hole, while Inglis shot par on the 18th hole.
Pepperdine senior Randy Creighton and sophomore Alex Coe tied with four other players with 1-over par scores of 217. Sophomore Chris Elliott tied for 21st and junior Brian O'Flaherty tied for 23rd.
Pepperdine is off until Monday, October 20 when it begins play at the Tennessee Tournament of Champions in Knoxville, Tennessee
