Junior Jesse Barnsley shot an even-par 71 to post the low round of the day for Pepperdine, which carded a final-round 10-over par 294 on Tuesday to tie for eighth place at the USC Collegiate Invitational that was contested at the par-71, 6,742-yard North Ranch Country Club in nearby Westlake Village.
The Waves tied Oklahoma with a 31-over par total of 883.
Stanford captured the team title with a score of 4-under 848 as the Cardinal had four players finish in the top 15. Host USC (853) was second followed by Tennessee (868), UCLA (870) and Brigham Young (873).
USC's Rory Hie took individual medalist honors with a 5-under score of 208 to finish two shots ahead of teammate Jamie Lovemark and Loyola Marymount's Brian Locke. Both players totaled 4-under par scores of 210.
Freshman Shane Mason and junior Eric Shriver concluded play as the top individual performers for Pepperdine, tying for 20th with a 4-over par totals of 217. Barnsley was one-shot back at 5-over 218.
Pepperdine will play its lone dual match of the season when it faces Georgia State on Thursday in Valencia.
