Junior All-American Michael Putnam carded a final-round 1-over par 72 on Tuesday to finish tied for sixth place with a 54-hole score of even-par 213 at the Cleveland Golf Classic that was contested at the Par 71 North Ranch Country Club in nearby Westlake Village, California.
The tie for sixth place gave Putnam is fourth straight Top 10 finish and fifth in eight tournaments this season.
Texas' Matthew Rosenfeld captured individual medalist honors as he fired a three-round total of 5-under par 208 to lead the Longhorns to the team title. Teammates Jeff Bell and Jason Hartwick tied California's Peter Tomasulo for second place with 4-under par scores of 209.
Ariona State's Chez Reavie placed fifth with a 1-under total 212, while teammate Alejandro Caniares and Putnam finished sixth at even-par 213.
Texas captured the team title with 54-hole score of 5-under par 847 to post a 15-shot victory over host USC, which finished second at 10-over par 862. Texas Christian and Brigham Young tied for third at 20-over par 872 and California rounded out the Top 5 with a 22-over par score of 874.
Pepperdine fired a final round 293 to tie Oregon State for 11th place with an 891 total.
The Waves are next in action on Monday, March 8, when they open play at the Coastal Carolina Invitational in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
