No. 22 Pepperdine Ties for Ninth Place at the Hawaii-Hilo Intercollegiate

Senior Alex Coe shot a final-round 3-under 68 to finish with a 4-under total of 209 and tie for eighth place at the University of Hawaii-Hilo Intercollegiate that concluded Friday at the Waikoloa Village Golf Course in Kona, Hawaii.
Coe's 68 helped No. 22 Pepperdine shoot a third-round score of 5-over 289 and tie Oklahoma for ninth place with a 16-over total of 868.
Third-ranked Georgia Tech carded a final-round 6-under par 278 to finish with a 27-under par score of 825 to claim a 14-shot victory over No. 2 Oklahoma State. The Cowboys totaled a 13-under par 839 to finish one shot ahead of USC (840).
Hawaii placed fourth with a 2-under 850 and Stanford rounded out the Top 5 with a 6-over 858.
Georgia Tech's Cameron Tringale posted a final-round 1-under par 70 to finish at 11-under par 202 to claim individual medalist honors. Hawaii's Travis Toyama carded a 6-under par 65 on Friday to place second, one shot behind Tringale with a 10-under 203.
Oklahoma State's Pablo Martin (204) finished third and Georgia Tech's Kevin Larsen (205) placed fourth. Three players tied for fifth with 5-under scores of 208.
Pepperdine returns to action on Monday, February 27, when it competes at the Ashworth Collegiate Invitational at North Ranch Country Club in nearby Westlake Village.
