Josh Anderson's combined total of 8-under on the par-5s led all 156 players at the tournament.
Off the course, Anderson was named to the PING/GCAA All-West Region team today.

CAREER: Became the sixth Pepperdine men's golfer to earn four-time All-WCC first team honors ... Ended up #3 on the school's career scoring average list (72.66) ... PEPPERDINE 2011-12: Earned All-American honors for the first time as a senior, being named honorable mention by both the GCAA and Golfweek ... Won the NCAA West Regional at Stanford with a career-best 14-under 196 (67-65-64), which qualified him for the NCAA Championships ... Also tied for second at the Barona Collegiate Cup with an 11-under 205 (69-70-66), tied for the eighth-best 54-hole score in school history ... Tied for second at the season-opening Husky Invitational with a 1-under 71 (the tournament was shortened to one round by rain) ... Was co-medalist at the General Hackler Championship, firing a 1-under 215 (71-72-72) ... Had three top 10 and four top 20 results ... Took fourth at the WCC Championships with a 220 (71-72-77) ... Tied for ninth place at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate with a 3-under 213 (72-72-69) ... Tied for 17th place at the NCAA South Central Regional with a 1-over 217 (71-71-75) ... Had four top 10 and eight top 20 finishes ... Finished in third place at his second collegiate tournament, the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate, with a 4-under 212 (71-69-72) ... Tied for fifth place at the NCAA South Central Regional (75-72-75=222) ... Tied for eighth place at the WCC Championships with a 1-under 215 (72-74-69) ... Had a total of nine sub-par rounds, including a season-best 4-under 68 in the third round of the Turtle Bay Intercollegiate ... JUNIOR/AMATEUR GOLF: Is believed to have become the first active Pepperdine player to compete in a PGA Tour event when he took part in the Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines in February 2009 ... Unfortunately, he missed the cut by one stroke as he shot a 3-over 147 (73-74) ... Won a one-round qualifying event for amateurs in fall 2008 to earn his place in the Buick ... Qualified for the same PGA event in 2011 (now known as the Farmers Insurance Open) ... Made the semifinals of the 2010 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship ... Won the 2007 California Amateur Championships ... Placed second at the 2009 Pacific Northwest Amateur ... Played in the 2008 and 2010 U.S. Amateurs ... Competed in the U.S. Junior Amateur Championships twice ... Named the Southern California Junior of the Year in 2006.
