Malte Kramer Earns NABC Academic Honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) today announced the NABC Honors Court, recognizing those collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the 2012-13 season. Pepperdine’s Malte Kramer (Frieberg, Germany/Cuesta College) represented Pepperdine on the list and is one of just 10 from the West Coast Conference.
An economics major, Kramer was slowed by injury in his first season in Malibu, appearing in just five games. The 2011-12 California Male Junior College Scholar-Athlete of the Year scored a career-high six points on a pair of 3-pointers at Hawaii in his 2012-13 season debut for the Waves.
SELECTION CRITERIA: The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that these men possess off the court, and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom. In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. The qualifications are as follows:
1. Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.
