USA BASEBALL NTDP 17U SCHEDULE 

MALIBU, Calif. - Pepperdine head coach Steve Rodriguez is spending part of his summer serving as manager of the USA Baseball National Team Development Program 17U squad. Rodriguez is at the National Training Complex in Cary, N.C. for 17U National Team Development Week August 12-16.

Rodriguez will supervise team workouts and the Stars vs. Stripes intrasquad games throughout the week.

A two-time All-American at Pepperdine, Rodriguez was a member of Team USA in both 1991 and 1992. He played in the Pan American Games in 1991 and earned "Player of the Series" honors against Mexico and Cuba. He was also named "Player of the Series" against Korea while a member of Team USA in 1992.

ABOUT THE NTDP: The National Team Development programs will be used to further connect identified athletes with USA Baseball staff to better prepare and develop the athletes for a future USA Baseball National Team experience. Two players from the 2013 17U NTDP will be invited to the 2014 18U National Team Trials and eight players will be invited to the 2014 USA Baseball Tournament of Stars, while two players from the 14U NTDP will be invited to attend the 2014 15U National Team Trials
