Drew Hacker Named to National Student Athlete Advisory Committee

MALIBU, Calif. – Pepperdine junior Drew Hacker was recently named to the NCAA Division I Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) as the representative for the West Coast Conference. Hacker, an infielder on the Waves’ baseball team, is one of 32 members on the national committee.
Each Division I conference nominates one representative to the committee and Hacker was chosen to represent the WCC until July 2015. He was selected by the NCAA committee out of three nominees submitted by the WCC.
The mission of the NCAA Division I SAAC is to enhance the total student athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student athlete well-being, and fostering a positive student athlete image. The association wide SAAC was adopted in 1989.
Hacker is a business administration major who is playing his third season for the Waves.
