Barry Enright Named WCC Pitcher of the Week

Malibu, Calif. - Sophomore right hander Barry Enright, who recorded a pair of wins over Top 15 teams last week, was named the West Coast Conference (WCC) Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Enright registered victories over No. 15 Long Beach State and No. 2 Oregon State. In two outings, Enright worked 15.0 innings, allowed 10 hits, three runs (two earned), walked five and struck out 10 while limiting opposing batters to a .200 average.
The sophomore right hander earned his first win of the season on Tuesday against Long Beach State after logging seven innings, surrendering five hits, two runs, three walks and striking out four. He held the 49ers scoreless for the first six innings before giving up a pair of runs in the seventh.
Against No. 2 Oregon State, Enright pitched a career-high eight innings, allowed five hits, an unearned run, walked two and struck out a career-high six batters.
In marks the first time in Enright's career that he has been named WCC Pitcher of the Week.
The No. 9-ranked Waves travel to UCLA on Tuesday to play the Bruins at Jackie Robinson Stadium beginning at 6 p.m.
