Baseball: Pepperdine Signs Andrew Wright for the 2014 Season

MALIBU, Calif. – Pepperdine baseball is pleased to announce the signing of 6-4 LHP Andrew Wright (San Diego, Calif./Cathedral Catholic HS) to a National Letters of Intent to compete at Pepperdine in the 2014 season as released today by head coach Steve Rodriguez. Pepperdine Baseball will release a new member of its 2014 class every Thursday on the official website of Pepperdine Athletics, PepperdineSports.com. ANDREW WRIGHT, 6-4, 200, LHP (Cathedral Catholic HS) Why Wright Chose Pepperdine: “I wanted to attend a school that would prepare me for my future; my dream is to be a professional baseball player. I believed that Pepperdine University would give me the best opportunity to make my future as successful as possible with its academic and athletic prestige.” Coach Rodriguez on Wright: “Andrew is going to fill a great role for us as a big left-handed pitcher. He is still developing as a pitcher and he should be a big impact guy for us his freshman year. With our strength and conditioning program, I would expect Andrew to blossom in big ways like Noah Lowry did here.”
