He also appeared in 16 games as a left-handed relief pitcher, striking out 19, with a 4.64 ERA through 21.1 innings pitched ... He batted .265 through 117 at bats, tallying 31 hits and 24 RBI ... Collected five doubles, one triple and one home run ... Was named to the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Midseason Watch List ... Went 3-for-5 with three RBI in just his second collegiate game vs. Oklahoma (2/18) ... Had a season-high four RBI after a 2-for-5 day with one double in victory over Kent State (3/18) ... He followed that up with a season-high four hits as he went 4-for-5 and scored one run vs. Kent State the next day (3/19) ... His first collegiate home run came on March 31 at Gonzaga to tie the game up and send things into extra innings, as he finished 2-for-6 from the plate that day ... He also had a stellar relief appearance on the mound in that contest vs. Gonzaga, throwing 3.2 innings during extra frames, striking out four and allowing only one hit, no runs ... Before getting hurt against Saint Mary's (4/7), Brown went 2-for-4 with three RBI in a victory ... His four strikeouts vs. Gonzaga (3/31) was a season high ... He also collected three strikeouts in 2.1 innings against Fresno State (6/3) in a comeback victory at the NCAA Stanford Regional ... In the NCAA Regional Brown tallied five strikeouts in 3.3 innings of work, allowing two runs on six hits in total ...
