Pepperdine Turns in Solid Performances at Titan Invitational

Led by senior Chad Trammell, the Pepperdine men's cross country team placed second among collegiate teams at the Titan Invitational that was run at Cal State Fullerton Friday afternoon. Junior Tarrah Crowley led the Waves' women's team to a second-place finish among collegiate teams.

Trammell turned in a time of 25:15 in the men's eight-kilometer race to lead Pepperdine while Crowley paced the Waves with a time of 18:50 in the five-kilometer women's race.

Cal Coast Track Club won both the men's and women's races, totaling 22 and 27 points, respectively.

The individual winners were Ceci St. Geme of Cal Coast in the women's race, posting a time of 16:47. Unattached Fitsum Tesfa won the men's race in 24:23.

Trammell was eighth overall while Crowley finished 19th.

Pepperdine is next in action on Saturday, October 29, when it competes in the West Coast Conference (WCC) Championships at the Crystal Springs Course in Belmont, California.
