Both the men's and women's teams had large graduating classes depart the program.
PEPPERDINE XC 2012: Participated in three meets as a freshman ... Was the Waves' #4 finisher twice ... Ran a season-best 8k of 30:11 at the Stanford Invitational.
PEPPERDINE TRACK 2013: Ran at six of eight track meets as a freshman ... Competed in the 800 meters six times with a best of 2:06.37 at San Francisco State (3/29) ... Ran the 1,500 meters three times with a best of 4:23.50 at Northridge (3/16).
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Villa Park (Calif.) High School in 2012 ... Lettered in both cross country and track ... Was a scholar-athlete all four years.
PERSONAL: Son of Mike Vega ... Has two siblings, Michael and Alise ... Majoring in business administration ... Chose Pepperdine because "I knew this is where God led me to grow as a young man, to challenge myself and engage in unique experiences, preparing me to fulfill the plan he has in store for me."
