Four Cross Country Runners Earn WCC All-Academic Awards

The Waves are getting ready to run at the West Coast Conference Championships this Saturday morning (Oct. 27) at Fernhill Park in Portland, Ore.

PEPPERDINE XC 2012: Named to the WCC All-Academic honorable mention squad ... Made her cross country debut as a junior ... Competed at three meets ... Best time in the 5k was 25:58.5 at the Titan Invitational.

PEPPERDINE XC 2011:Did not run cross country as a sophomore.

PEPPERDINE XC 2010: Did not run cross country as a freshman.

PEPPERDINE TRACK 2013: Ran at seven of eight track meets as a junior ... Saw most of her action in the 1,500 meters, running it six times with a best of 6:03.97 at Northridge (3/16) ... Also ran the 800 meters (2:57.02 at North Florida on 3/1) and mile (6:47.93 at Westmont on 2/16) one time each.

PEPPERDINE TRACK 2012: Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete ... Ran the 800 meters and the 1,500 meters as a sophomore ... Posted a 3:00.56 in the 800 (North Florida, 3/2) and a 6:14.59 in the 1,500 (Pomona-Pitzer, 4/14).

PEPPERDINE TRACK 2011: Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete ... Individual season bests as a freshman included a 2:57.83 in the 800m and a 6:20.59 in the 1500m.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Granada High School, located in Livermore, Calif., in 2009 ... Graduated with honors ... A two-year varsity letterwinner in the 800m and 1600m for head coach Noel Mattern ... Career best marks include a 3:05 in the 800m and 6:40 in the 1600m ...
