The Waves broke in a big group of new student-athletes, as 10 of the 11 women's runners were freshmen.
Both the men's and women's teams had large graduating classes depart the program.
Head coach Robert Radnoti, now in his seventh season in charge of the Waves, annually takes his team off-campus for a preseason retreat.
A pair of seniors led the Waves to their respective finish lines, just as they've done for the majority of the season.
Lauren Lodge, a senior who was the Waves' top finisher at last weekend's WCC Championships, is the first Pepperdine woman to earn three-time first team all-academic honors.
