Lodge Wins Women's 3,000 Meters, Breaks School Record Again

Lauren Lodge has run four races in 2012 and set a school record in each one of them (also setting new marks in the 1,500 and 5,000 meters).

Track Season Begins Saturday at Westmont

The women's squad consists of 12 returners and 10 newcomers.

PEPPERDINE TRACK 2013: Only ran at one track meet as a sophomore ... Competed in the 4x100 relay at Westmont (2/16).

PEPPERDINE TRACK 2012: Ran in six meets as a freshman ... Ran the 100, 200 and 400 meters ... Had season-best times of 13.27 in the 100 (North Florida, 3/2), 27.56 in the 200 (UC Irvine, 3/24) and 60.90 in the 400 (SF State, 4/6) ... Also ran on the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams.

PEPPERDINE XC 2012: Made her cross country debut as a sophomore ... Ran at one meet, the UC Riverside Open (25:07.6 in the 5k).

PEPPERDINE XC 2011: Did not compete in cross country as a freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from San Clemente (Calif.) High School in 2011 ... Ran four years on the varsity ... A three-time track athlete of the year for the school ... Team won the Sea View League championship in 2011 ... Made the honor roll.

PERSONAL: Born in Colorado Springs, Colo. ... Daughter of Raymond and Tonya Brown ... Has one sister, Tailyn ... Majoring in biology with plans on becoming a pediatric dentist ...
