Three School Records Fall at San Francisco State Distance Carnival

The school records set today increases the number set by Pepperdine this season to nine overall.

Lodge Wins Women's 3,000 Meters, Breaks School Record Again

Lauren Lodge has run four races in 2012 and set a school record in each one of them (also setting new marks in the 1,500 and 5,000 meters).

PEPPERDINE 2012: Competed at six meets as a senior ... Ran the 1,500 meters five times and the mile once ... Had a season-best time of 4:53.92 in the 1,500 at Pomona-Pitzer (4/14).

PEPPERDINE 2011: Lone appearance as a junior was in the 1500m run at the North Florida Invitational and finished the course in 5:19.97.

PEPPERDINE 2010: Did not compete in track as a sophomore.

PEPPERDINE 2009: Did not compete in track as a freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Torrey Pines High School, located in San Diego, Calif., in 2008 ... A three-year varsity letterwinner for head coach Brent Thorne ... Career best marks include an 18:40 in the 5K, a 16:30 in the 2.75-mile run and an 11:20 in the 3,200-meter run ... Guided team to three-straight CIF San Diego Section Championships from 2005 to 2007 ... Won two Palomar League titles in 2006 and 2007 ... Was on the runner-up team at the 2006 State Division I Championships ... In 2006, posted the nation's second fastest time in the medley relay, which held up as the 12th fastest time ever recorded on the Morley Field CIF course ... Team MVP ...Three-year All-CIF and all-league selection ... Received the Most Dedicated Athlete Award following her senior year ... Received the Most Outstanding Athlete Award as a junior ... NATIONAL EXPERIENCE: Traveled around the country competing in national and international alpine ski races ... Attained a #5 national ranking and #70 world ranking in the Slalom in 2005 ... Member of the Far West Junior Olympic Team from 2003 to 2005 and part of the Far West National Team in 2005 ... Reached a #1 USSA Far West ranking in the slalom during the 2004-05 season ... Qualified for 2005 J1/J2 nationals ... Two-time National Development System selection.
