The Waves will return to Northern Arizona for their second indoor meet on February 12-13.
The women's squad will compete in indoor track for the first time in program history.
Nine Pepperdine runners competed at Long Beach State's event at Cerritos College.
The Waves' next meet is in two weeks at the Beach Invitational.
The bulk of the events at UC Irvine will take place on Saturday.

PEPPERDINE TRACK 2015: Ran at all seven meets as a junior ... Had the team's best times in the mile (5:15.35 at Westmont on 2/21), the 3,000 meters (10:33.03 at Westmont on 2/21) and the 5,000 meters (17:31.11 at the Beach Invitational on 4/18) ... Won the 5,000 meters at the Cunningham Track Classic (3/7) and placed third out of 48 runners at Pomona-Pitzer (4/4) ... Her times in the mile and 5,000 moved her to #2 on the school's all-time top five in both events.
PEPPERDINE TRACK 2014: Competed at five meets as a sophomore ... Ran the 5,000 meters three times, with a best of 18:09.99 (Cal/Nevada Collegiate Championship, 4/4) ... Also ran the 1,500 once (4:58.56, Beach Invitational, 4/19) ... Was part of the school-record 4x800-meter relay team that ran 9:48.41 and won its race at Savannah State (3/1).
PEPPERDINE TRACK 2013: Ran at all eight meets as a freshman ... Posted team's top time of the year in four different events: the mile (5:30.76 at Westmont on 2/16), the 3,000 meters (10:45.25 at Cal State L.A. on 4/6), the two-mile (11:43.33 at San Francisco State on 3/29) and the 5,000 meters (18:19.55 at Pomona-Pitzer on 4/13) ... On Pepperdine's all-time top five lists, she moved into the #3 spot in both the mile and two-mile.
PEPPERDINE XC 2015: Wrapped up her career as the top cross country athlete of her era ... Led the team to the finish line at six of the seven meets ... Placed second in a the home meet vs. CSUN and CSU Bakersfield, third at the Aztec Invitational and fourth at the Highlander Invitational ... Best 5k was 17:33.60 at the Highlander Invitational ... Ran the 6k WCC Championships in 22:18.9 and finished 28th.
PEPPERDINE XC 2014: Was Pepperdine's top runner again as a junior ... Ran at all six meets and was the Waves' top finisher at five of them ... Had a season-best 6k time of 21:21.0 at the WCC Championships and finished 30th overall ... Best 5k time was 18:45.5 at the Mark Covert Classic, where she was 12th overall.
PEPPERDINE XC 2013: Had another strong year as a sophomore, leading the Waves to the finish line in four of her six races, including the NCAA West Regional (21:22) ... Took eighth place overall at the 5k Mark Covert Classic (18:33.1) ... Best 6k time was 21:18.6 at the Bronco Invitational ... Finished no worse than third among the Waves in any of the meets.
PEPPERDINE XC 2012: Emerged as one of the program's top runners as a freshman ... Led the Waves to the finish line in her first three races ... Finished second the next three ... Had a 5k best of 18:43.79 at the Northridge Collegiate Invitational, where she finished 12th overall ... Was 14th overall at the Mark Covert Classic ... Had a 6k best of 22:18.9 at the UC Riverside Invitational ... Was one of three women to run at the NCAA West Regional.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Honeoye Falls (N.Y.)-Lima High School in 2012 ... Ran both cross country and track (400, 800 and 1,500 meters) ... Earned all-state honorable mention as a senior and all-section as a senior, junior and sophomore ... Team won cross country sectional championships in 2009 and 2011 ... A member of the National Honors Society.

During summer 2014, volunteered at the Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence in Rochester, N.Y., while also helping at urban microfarms and community gardens and participating in non-violence clubs for high school students ...
