Athletics Academic Services
The overriding goal of the Athletics Academic Services (AAS) office is to assist student-athletes with reaching their fullest academic and personal development while at Pepperdine University. AAS provides academic resources for student-athletes that will assist them in earning their degree and will prepare them for life after graduation. The staff of AAS will work closely with coaches and faculty to help student-athletes balance the demands of their academic responsibilities and participation in intercollegiate athletics. All student-athletes are welcome to use our services, including usage of the Academic Services Center and its resources, advising and tutoring.
In order to accommodate the demands of a student-athlete's commitment to academics and athletics within the University, AAS facilitates a study hall program. Study hall is required for all incoming student-athletes and those with a GPA lower than 2.5. However, coaches can require study hall for their student-athletes with GPAs higher than 2.5.
Hours: 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays
Tutoring provides student-athletes with one-on-one educational support on a weekly basis. Tutors are trained student employees with strong academic knowledge, a clear and friendly communication style and a desire to help student-athletes perform at their best.
