Karin Taylor started her tenure in the Department of Athletics in 1998 managing promotions and events, and now works as a fundraiser for development.
Her current position as Associate Director for Athletics Advancement involves growing the annual fund for Athletics through annual and monthly appeals, coordinating fundraising events and working closely with the coaches to help realize their fundraising goals. The success of the Athletics Associates program is key in meeting these annual team needs, and she works regularly with alumni, parents, friends and family in reaching the target objectives. In managing the Athletics Advancement office, she also assists the Compliance office in educating boosters about NCAA rules and guidelines.
She is a current member of the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD).
Taylor is a member of Pepperdine University's 50th graduating class of 1987, and she earned a bachelor's degree in social science. She studied in both the London and Heidelberg programs and traveled extensively throughout Europe.
Following graduation, she has worked for more than 25 years in various management positions around the university, from the Admissions office to the Dean's office. For several years she coordinated the Washington D.C. program, organizing internships, tours and visits to the White House.
In 2002, Taylor earned her master's degree from Pepperdine and continues her education in a certificate program writing children's literature. She is a native of Ventura County also resides in the Conejo Valley.
