Jamil Macias first joined Pepperdine's staff in 2011 as the Athletics Ticket Manager. In 2012, he served as the Tickets and External Relations Manager and was promoted to Assistant Director of Marketing & Sales in 2014.
As an Assistant Director of Marketing & Sales, he is in charge of all off-campus marketing, partnership development and activation, alumni relations, purchasing, ticketing and sales. In both 2013 and 2015, Jamil managed sales and marketing for the NCAA Men's Basketball West Regional at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA. Jamil served as the Assistant Tournament Manager in 2015.
A native of Lompoc, Calif., Macias graduated in 2011 with a degree in business administration from Pepperdine University. Throughout his undergraduate studies, Jamil worked internally for the Department of Athletics, conducting special projects for the business office. Jamil was most recently named a class member of the Learfield Sports Minority Academy, a prestigious program comprised of 12 candidates from across the United States that work in the collegiate multimedia and sponsorship sector.
