Matt Kalish joined the Pepperdine Athletics' staff full-time in 2008 as the Director of Athletic Facilities.

Some of his responsibilities include managing a large group of student workers, setting up and breaking down equipment for home events and keeping Pepperdine facilities clean, safe and operational.

Kalish worked in Pepperdine's campus recreation office before moving over to athletics.

He graduated from Pepperdine in 2005 with a degree in political science and also received his master's degree from Pepperdine in 2010 in American studies. As an undergrad, he worked on the student events staff and had a one-year internship as the ticket manager.

Kalish grew up on the East Coast and then moved to Malibu (he attended Malibu High School). He and his wife, Crystal, have a son, Grant.
