MALIBU, Calif. - The baseball team has its home finale on Tuesday before traveling to Gonzaga this weekend in search of a West Coast Conference title, while Frederick Wedel of the men's golf team heads to an NCAA Regional in Oregon.

Brandon Caruso of the baseball team opens the show, and interviews take place with Wedel and baseball's Chris Fornaci.

Here's an in-depth look at the week's events:

Coming off a dramatic series win over San Diego, the Pepperdine baseball team plays its final regular-season contests this week with the West Coast Conference title on the line. The Waves start the week with their home finale when they host UC Santa Barbara for a non-conference matchup. They then head to Gonzaga for a three-game WCC series. Having already clinched a berth in the conference tournament, the Waves can wrap up their 17th regular-season crown outright and the top seed with either two wins over second-place Gonzaga, or one win plus a loss by LMU (the Lions are at Pacific) in this final weekend. Hutton Moyer and Aaron Brown were named the WCC Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.

MEN'S GOLF

Thursday-Saturday: at NCAA West Regional (Eugene, Ore.)
Multimedia: There will be live scoring on Golfstat. Follow @PeppMensGolf on Twitter for updates.

Frederick Wedel's strong regular season earned him a spot in the NCAA Regional field as an individual. The sophomore will compete this weekend at the Eugene (Ore.) Country Club trying to accomplish what former Pepperdine golfer standout Josh Anderson did just two years ago: win the event (or at least be the low-scoring player among the non-qualifiers) and advance to the NCAA Championships. Thirteen teams and 10 individuals will be in Oregon looking to move on. Five teams and the lowest-scoring player not on those five teams will qualify. Wedel earned All-WCC honorable mention honors and led the Waves with a 72.97 scoring average this season.
