Facilities

The Pepperdine men's and women's tennis teams play all of their home dual matches at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center.

The nine-court, fully lighted facility was upgraded significantly during the 1992-93 school year, and served as the host site for the 1995 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships, marking the first time an NCAA Championships event was held at Pepperdine. The University hosted the event again in May of 2000.

The Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center has also hosted men's NCAA first and second-rounds seven times (2000, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2013), women's NCAA first and second rounds three times (1999, 2000, 2006), the 1996 women's NCAA West Regional Championships and the 1997 men's NCAA Region VIII Championships.

In addition to resurfaced courts and improved lighting, the refurbished complex includes seating for nearly 2,000 people. The beautifully landscaped facility offers many excellent vantage points for fans, and a large patio overlooks Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool and has a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean. During the summer of 1998, the 800-seat Harilela International Grandstand was added to the facility.

The Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center is enhanced by a large lounge that includes food service facilities. The building also houses team meeting and locker room facilities plus office space for the men's and women's tennis coaching staffs.

The Pepperdine men's tennis program has won nearly 90 percent of its home matches since the facility was built, while the women have won close to 75 percent of their matches.
