MALIBU, Calif. Taylore Karle of the Pepperdine’s women’s golf team capped off an outstanding freshman season by earning All-American second team honors from both Golfweek and the National Golf Coaches Association.

Karle (Scottsdale, Ariz.) had one of the top seasons in Pepperdine history, as her team-best 73.37 stroke average ranks sixth in the school’s single-season record book. She led, or shared the team lead, in nine of 10 tournaments, and had four top 10 finishes and seven top 20 finishes. Karle was the co-medalist at the West Coast Conference Championships and was named to the All-WCC first team and WCC Freshman of the Year.

She ended the year ranked 15th nationally by Golfstat and 17th by Golfweek/Sagarin.

This is the ninth straight year that a Pepperdine women’s golfer has earned All-American honors.
